The First Lady
Of course you all wanted to know. Michelle Obama wore a beautiful beautiful Isabel Toledo coat and dress pired with Jimmy Choo pumps and J. Crew gloves to her husband, Barak Obama's inauguration today. New first daughters Sasha and Malia wore coats by Crew Cuts, J. Crews children's line. For the BIG night, with 10 balls to attend, celebrating her husband's honor and appointment as 44th President of The United States of America, Michelle kinda gagged everyone. She could have worn Chanel, Dior. She could have gone with Maria Pinto; her hometown favorite or gone with Oscar de la Renta, who has been a favorite of First Ladies before. But Michelle chose a white, delicate, feathered one shoulder gown by 26 year old Jason Wu. She's worn him before on the campaign trail. He's young. He's fresh. He's American(by way of Taiwan and having trained at Parson's)! I think he's brilliant. So, did I, The Arnold, like the dress? It was ok. The dress was beautiful. It fell perfectly and allowed the lady to dance. Michelle had her choice of ANY gown by ANY designer in the world. Sure, there probably were better choices to be made in some eyes. There were probably better American choices she could have picked. But she picked something that was all her. Something she wanted. She went with what was new and fresh which is what her and her husband are all about as the enter the White House and this new era in American History. All in all, Michelle Obama gets an A for the day. From The Arnold.
