Well done Gareth

Hi Everyone, I'm back and just in time for Paris fashion week. Did you guys miss me?

Now back to business as usual. London's favorite enfant terrible was one of the first to show in Paris. I loved that Gareth's muse and only model for the show was none other than Elite's elite Natasa Vojnovic. I must say that Gareth was a wonderful start. I really enjoyed the show. The pieces were very wearable especially looks two to twelve . I'm happy that Gareth is going more towards that direction. Let's face it we all love his clothes but who besides Sasha Fierce and Roisin Murphy  buys Gareth (nobody). We will be seeing more of his pieces on many of fashion leaders trust me. Also I noticed that some of Pugh 's looks had a Rick Owens vibe to it (looks nine and twelve for example). But here is a little known fact Rick Owens has been backing Pugh ever since that famous first collection. So I guess this is Gareth's way of thanking Rick. I thought this was the best from Pugh so far.
Well done Gareth !!

Hey guys Gareth might also be the creative director for Dior Homme. But that's just a rumor for now.

MY NEW SCENT

As I walked through Saks on my ill fated trip to "Barney's" in New York, one of the ladies in cosmetics sprayed some fragrance on a swatch and handed it to me. "Narcisco for men." she said. I sniffed my swatch and was in heaven. So light. So soft yet masculine. I adored it. I even adore the simplicity of the bottle. Cosmetics lady must have sensed I was in love. "Would you like to try some?" she asked, as she pointed the bottle at me. "Oh I can't right now." I said, "I'm wearing YSL. However, it's a MUST for The Arnold for Spring 09.

# 1 Reason not to watch ANTM

Remember Mollie Sue? She was on of Tyra's rejects on one of those seasons of that JOKE of a show, A.N.T.M, which is having it's 111th season premiere tonight. Well after she lost, Mollie Sue signed with Elite, walked a few runways, did a few good international editorials and here she is in a feature in Vogue Russia! (One of A2G's favorite international Vogue editions.) Just look, Tyra let this magical creature slip through and become her roadkill. Now she's in Vogue? Tyra has ruined fashion. It used to be a fun show to watch but now every hood bitch and farm girl thinks she knows "couture". How annoying. No self respecting girl who REALLY wanted to be a model would go on that show! And where the hell are the winners from past seasons? Caridee is hosting a new reality show on Oxygen! How fabulous.
And what is this 5'7 and under bullshit Tyra's trying to pull? WTF?

Today's Image

Today's image is a simple candid in honor of Milan fashion week. Model Maryna Linchuk in full beat outside of the Gucci show in Milan earlier this week. So simple yet still so GLAMOURUS! Maryna is a runway standout in Milan this season. She's done it for me in every photo I've seen.

SIT DOWN IN THAT LANVIN, CHARLIZE!

Dolce Darling

Dolce & Gabbana have long been one of my favorite labels. Sexy, Purely Italian, iconic. Lately though, I will admit, I haven't been feeling alot of what they've been doing for the ladies with their signature line or with D&G, (Though the red carpet apperances A listers made wearing pieces from recent collections have looked great.) This season though, Dolce did it for me! When they forst tried the big sleeve proprortion they've been doing, I was a little confused. The look wasn't, to me, "classic Dolce". However, it was amazing for Fall 2009. Big sleeves on dresses, blouses, coats, furs, even tuxedo jackets. All paired with sexy sexy skirts, plain black stockings and high high heels. They guys did and amazing job with fun and print. They paired all black with bright pink shaggy furs. Paired animal print with polka dots and had Marilyn Monroe's face plastered on ball skirts and cocktail dresses. A little classic Dolce & Gabbana lace dress in all balck goes a LONG way. As does impeccable old Hollywood styling complete with dramatic dark red lips, big cocktail jewels and gloves...as headpieces and scarves. Genius!

Are you as excited as I am that Donatella Versace has hired Christopher Kane to do an accessories collection for the newly revived Versus line? Surely you remember Versus. Versace's younger, hipper, lower priced line. Word on the street has it that Kane will be doing the clothes for the collection as well. Until then, just oggle these jeweled out and ever so chic clutches, bags, and of course, SHY HIGH footwear. This is just a taste.

Pop Quiz: Anyone remember Isante???

Feeling Blu

I'll admit, so far, I'm not wowed by anything I've seen in Milan. So far at least. But I thought it only right that I give a taste of what did impress me. Blumarine by Anna Molinari. I've always like Blumarine. Better than Anna Molinari's signature line even. It's always been about the young and fresh girl. This season it was about the party girl! Anna gave the party girl a whole wardrobe and complete look. She had looks for the party girl to go to work in(even party girls work...sometimes), she gave her jeans and all black ensembles paired with bracelets and glitz for her more "understated" days, and she certainly gave her party outfits. Even long dresses for those big even nights! Anna did BOLD head to toe leopard, sexy tailored suits and coats, pastels paired with bold print and a multicolored leopard print. All in front of an Andy Warhol backdrop. Now, some of the prints will certainly get certain girls on worst dressed lists when they're worn in the real world, but that's how runway translates. The real party girls won't care, she'll be appropriately dressed to be noticed...at the party.
