Azzedine Alaïa and fish were the major references that Scognamiglio used for fall 2010 collection. If you follow the career of Francesco then you already know that the designer is known for his avent garde collections. As a long time fan of Scognamiglio this collection was more commercial than the others. Now this is because Francesco has several new american investors that he needs to please. I think this collection is a wonderful balance of avent garde edge and commercial appeal. I thought all the Alaïa looking pieces are divine and I know they will sell quick. I also loved the tops with the pleated detail and the unusual collars. If I had to give this collection a grade it would be a A+.

Legend: The storyteller

For the Spring 2003 collection McQueen showcased his storytelling skills. With this collection the McQueen's girl was a rogue pirate lost at sea. As the show progresses she drowns in the black waters and washes ashore to a beautiful island filled with exotic birds of paradise.
